Swift Rescue Singapore submarine rescue system

Singapore purchased a new submarine rescue system from James Fisher Defence. It is fully operated by a civilian company, First Response Marine Ltd, which aggregates the M/V Swift Rescue ship owner and James Fisher Defence.
The system is fully operationnal since early 2009.

Swift Rescue M/V Swift Rescue

M/ Swift Rescue is operated by Singapore Technology Marine and manned by Swire Pacific Offshore. Mission command and medical team are provided by the RSN.
The ship operates a rescue system, DSAR6 and its TUP, and an intervention system, ROV Super Spartan. MV Swift Rescue is able to reach a top speed of 12.5 knots with a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles.

DSAR6 DSAR 6 and TUP

TUP The new DSAR6 and its TUP are provided and operated by James Fisher Defence onboard M/V Swift Rescue. The DSAR 6 is capable of reaching a top speed of three knots (5.5 km/h) underwater and is able to reach depths of up to 500 metres.
The rescue vehicle can accomodate up to 17 rescuees. The TUP has a capacity of 40 rescuees.

ROV super Spartan

The intervention system of the RSN submarine rescue is the ROV SuperSpartan operated from M/V Swift Rescue.
