Turkey operates a Submarine Rescue Ship (ASR) with a McCann Bell.  In addition Turkey is a registered observer in the NATO Submarine Rescue System Programme with the UK, France and Norway.

'McCann' Diving Bell (SRC).

This system proved its value when used to rescue 33 survivors from the USS SQUALUS on May 23, 1939.

Today it remains a very simple yet capable rescue system.

It is also operated by Turkey, and Italy and proved an effective system during both Sorbet Royal 2000 and 2002.

TUP is not possible.

Similar systems may be operated by Russia and  China.
